Three Rocks

My parents arrived last night and it feels comforting to have them here. Shane's mother and step father arrive tommorow afternoon. It will be a full house of love and support until I go in on Sunday to get induced.

We remain completely faithful to God and pray each day for Nayeli to have the strength to battle this ugly battle. We remain positive and uplifted by the Lords strength. I have some blankets washed, stuffed animals packed and some clothes for her NICU stay. Psalm 5:3: In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice, in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.

As Sunday fastly approaches I find myself with all these emotions that I have. The last thing I am worried about is labor and delivery. Which really surprises me. I am excited and scared. I am excited on delivering Nayeli. I can't wait to see her. I am scared about what Nayeli has to battle but I know that God will be there to carry her and give her the strength she needs. We know that Nayeli is good hands at UCSF and we pray that the Doctors stabilize her.

Shane and I have surprised each other on how strong we have been. We know it's because of God and he has helped us through the last four months. God has given us the support through our wonderful friends, family, and other CDH families and everyone else who have emailed us and commented on our blog. We are so grateful and humbled by all of you.

We were given three rocks, one for Shane, Nayeli and myself at church a couple of weeks ago by our Pastor. What this represents is that God will be our rock and he will be there in the worst storms. We will hold on to these rocks and ride this storm out. Psalm 18:2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer: my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Be sure to pack some protein/cereal bars. I remember being soooo hungry in between hospital meals. I'm so happy that you will be surrounded by loving family - it makes such a huge difference. Thank you for sharing your brave and loving journey so far - it has been moving. xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Oh Liz it sounds like you guys are at peace with all of this bad stuff. I'm so glad to hear this. I do believe that God gives us strength beyond what we can ever comprehend. You are an amazing woman and I see so much love and devotion in your posts. You are right God is our rock and in Him we are free. Brian and I talk about you guys daily. We know you both will be fine. Isn't it amazing how labor seems almost non-existant? Scared? no way you are just preparing for the battle. God is already shielding your heart and mind.

We love you both. Know that Nayeli will be blessed. She is unique and so much God's creation. Love you guys.

Liz and Shane,

My name is Kathy, and I live in West Texas, and I just want you to know all of you are in my prayers. I know that God will give you strength and comfort for what you are about to face. I'm glad you will have family with you. That always helps! I also think it's neat about the rocks. That was a special thing to do.

I just want to leave this with you: Don't tell God how big your storms are, tell your storms how big YOUR GOD IS!!!

Take care!

A very good friend of mine sent your information to me and asked that my church lift you up in prayer. Know that people all over Colorado are praying for you and your family. I pray that God continue to give you the strength and courage to deal with the things that come your way, known and unknown. May he guide the doctors and nurses with the swiftest of knowledge and gentlest of hands. May each and every person Nayali meet show her love and faith as her parents and family have during this time. Blessings, Rebecca

Liz and Shane - I am so excited for you to finally meet Nayeli in two short days!! I am happy you will be surrounded by family. Many prayers for your precious little girl, that she is strong and doctors are able to stablize her quickly. I hope your labor and delivery goes by the book Liz, so you can be with your little quickly after she is born. Stay strong and I will be watching for updates.
Hugs,

I too can recall not worrying about the labor and delivery! It was the easy part and the least I could do for my little girl. Embrace the emotions you feel. God is standing beside you on this journey. Know that we will be upholding all of you in our prayers as Nayeli soon enters this world!

Take care,

Amy, STeve, ^^Faith^^

Liz and Shane,
You are both in my thoughts and prayers. I'm glad you both have your parents here for support and encouragement. Your "other family" (SLPD) is thinking of you with love.
