On Monday August 3rd Nayeli had her 9 month check up. Shane and I kept guessing her weight. Shane said 18 lbs 14oz I said 18lbs 15oz. Neither one of us was right. Nayeli weighs 17lbs 14oz. and is 29 inches long. Dr. Hahn said she is doing well on her growing and weight gain. Dr. Hahn told us that with the cold and flu season around the corner we will have to be cautious and avoid crowds and limit visitors. Nayeli is taking advantage of the summer and has been taking swim lessons. She had her first on the Monday. So far Nayeli has been trying to blow bubbles under water, kick her legs and is reaching out with her arms. She holds on to the wall of the pool. Her instructors told me that is the first thing they need to learn for safety. Nayeli has Shane and I are running around after her around the house. She is giving us a good work out. It's amazing how much energy she has. She loves getting on the doggie bed. She hasn't found the dog bowls or doggie door yet, but it wont take long. She is exploring her surroundings and we are enjoying he new milestone. We started to child proof the house but we are still not finished. Yesterday Nayeli surprised me. I walked out of her room while she was still in her crib and came back and she was chewing on her crib rail and was trying to stand up. She is so determined to stand up, she gets frustrated when she can't do something. She didn't give up and kept trying. That is something Daddy and I taught her. Don't give up! She found the Xbox! Godmother Harris hodling Nayeli for the first time Good thing we child proof this, first thing she went for.
Each day is a blessing.
Psalm 16:8-9
I have set the LORD always before me.
Because he is at my right hand,
I will not be shaken.
Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure.

Sounds like Nayeli had a great check-up. She is getting pretty good at crawling...enjoyed today's videos of seeing her on the move! It is hard to believe she is already 9 months old. I am sure each day is a blessing with your beautiful girl.
Hugs, Tracy
Wow! Look at her go. I can't believe it. I'm thinking about taping a Swiffer to Carter's belly and letting him clean the hardwoods while he scoots around. Good idea?
I soooo wish Bodee liked the water so he would do swim lessons too...maybe next summer :). Glad to see Nayeli zoomin around...and what a great "wake up smile." Love it!
Love the videos. Her laughter is infectious :0). So glad that she's enjoying swimming. Nayeli and Alina can go swimming together when they meet up, Alina also loves the water. Happy 9th month little one. You've come such a long way! And happy 9 month Liz and Shane, you've been through so much; it's fantastic to see your happy faces next to Nayeli's.
By the way, invitation to the UK is also open. We'd love to meet you in person and celebrate with our miracle babies.
Hugs.
Go Nayeli, keep Mommy and Daddy on their toes. That is so great that she is gaining weight and growing. Weston just started crawling also and getting into everything it is so great. She is such an amazing little girl and so beautiful!
Awww, Nayeli gets more and more beautiful every day. I think it's neat our husbands both have the same truck! How cool. It will be great if we could meet someday--just fantastic. I can't wait! What a photo op that will be!
