Nayeli was diagnosed with severe Left Congential Diaphragmatic Hernia (LCDH) during her 18 week ultrasound, on June 4, 2008. We created this blog to keep family and friends updated, and to raise overall awareness of CDH. During my pregnancy I always read this verse Psalm 121:1-2 I lift up my eyes to the hills where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Carter also loves Lucy's toys much more than his own. What is that about?
She's such a cutie on her tummy (well, she's a cutie any way you look at her)--she looks so comfy. Carter's glad he can help. Now, can Nayeli share some signing tips?
I think it is great you are signing with her!! How old was she when you started that with her??
I can't wait until K is out the "I hate tummy time" stage!! Nayeli is so cute!! I love the pic of her petting your dogs!! :)
How wonderful! Keep signing to her every chance you can and she'll do great. It makes lives so much less frustrating. Enjoy!
Lol, love the pics of her sleeping on her tummy :0).
I was just about to email you- and had no clue what your email was. So I checked my entire inbox of deleted emails and apparently I cleaned out sometime in July so I lost our emails prior. I just wanted to know when you had to go back to work- the 14th? Well I'll be thinking of you- Hope it goes ok! I know it will be very hard- as every a.m. I leave K- I make sure she is up- bc I can't go a whole day w/o a smile! Let me know how it goes!! :)
Smarter than you thought? I taught Noah a few signs before he could really talk - like 6 to 9 months. (Then we seem to understand them just by looking at them!)
Love the sleeping positions! She likes their toys because they are not HER toys!
With thoughts and prayers,
Elizabeth
That's so awesome! It's so exciting that she's signing to you. John would also love some tips on signing, too! Can you believe we're coming up on having one-year olds?? It's amazing! We'll have to talk soon!!
